The Warrior's Code

  1. A cat must be at least six moons of age to begin their apprentice training.
  2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory. Mediators may trespass for the purpose of diplomatic meetings, provided they do not take anything from the land.
  3. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Thank each catch for its sacrifice.
  4. An honorable warrior does not kill other cats to win their battles. One should only aim to kill or maim in self defense or in defense of one who cannot defend themself.
  5. The deputy will become the Clan leader upon the death, retirement, or exile of the prior leader.
  6. A cat may not be made deputy without having fully mentored at least one apprentice unless there are no eligible cats in the clan.
  7. Upon the death, retirement, promotion, or exile of the deputy, a new deputy must be chosen before the next moonhigh. In the event that a Clan is left without a leader or deputy, a vote will be held amongst the warriors to elect a new leader.
  8. A Gathering of all Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts from sunrise to moonset. There shall be no fighting among the Clans during this time.
  9. No warrior may neglect a kit in pain or in danger, regardless of that kit's origins.
  10. A loyal warrior rejects the life of a kittypet. Always remember that twolegs bring danger.
  11. Elders, nursing parents, kits, and sick or injured cats must be fed before healthy apprentices and warriors.
  12. Warriors may have relationships with cats outside of their clans, but their loyalty must remain with their clan. Warriors may not have kits as long as the parents are of different alleigances.

The Medic's Oath

  1. Medics have free reign to gather herbs without regard for borders. Medics may not hunt on another Clan's territory, nor may they purposefully overharvest another Clan's herbs.
  2. Medics may not have kittens unless there is at least one other fully trained medic in the Clan who can cover for them while they raise their young.
  3. A medic may not refuse treatment to any sick or injured cat, unless they have sound reason to believe that doing so will endanger themself or their Clan.
  4. Regardless of personal feelings towards the patient, a medic must do everything reasonably within their power to save a cat in need of medical attention.
  5. A medic must never give preferential treatment to their own friends or family.
